Mr. Ralph J. Thompson II Named 2009-2010 Co-Chair of AFCEA Small Business Committee’s Scott AFB, IL - St. Louis, MO Chapter

Mr. Ralph J. Thompson II, Chief Operations Officer of Mind Safety Management, LLC (MSM,LLC) was recently named the new Co-Chair of AFCEA Small Business Committee - Scott-St. Louis Area Chapter. Mr. Thompson will serve as the AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) Co-Chair for 2009-2010 before moving into the Chair position in 2010-2011. Mrs. Leslie Chism, CLR Group Ltd., is the incoming Chair for 2009-2010. Mr. Thompson will work closely with Mrs. Chism to make this year one of the most rewarding years for the AFCEA Scott-St. Louis Area Chapter which is an internationally recognized, award-winning model chapter. The goals for his tenure as AFCEA Co-Chair 2009-2010 is to not only maintain the high standard of AFCEA Scott - St. Louis, but also expand business networking opportunities and promote more successful partnerships between small and large businesses.
AFCEA Scott-St. Louis' Small Business Committee was formed in 2002-2003 by Mrs. Brenda Newberry of The Newberry Group. The Small Business Committee was formed to foster relationships for small businesses within the Scott AFB, IL and St. Louis, MO areas. Ultimately, the Committee's mission evolved to include education, information sharing, partner development, and partnering of small and large businesses. The mission of the AFCEA Small Business Committee has always been to provide a forum to connect small business members to Federal Information Technology opportunities, education, and resources; to advocate for the use of small business by Federal agencies; Support the innovation that small business brings to the Defense and Federal Communities; Support community service through volunteer opportunities; Foster an environment of cooperation between small and large businesses by leveraging each other's strengths to create win-win contracting relationships.
